Als Criminal Intelligence Specialist vorm je de schakel tussen informatie en operationele beslissing. Je ondersteunt rechercheurs en de leiding met analyses die het verschil maken.

Hoe ziet dat eruit?

  • De vraag achter de vraag: een onderzoeksteam vraagt een analyse. Jij zoekt eerst uit welke beslissing die moet ondersteunen.
  • De speld in de hooiberg: in een veelheid aan potentiële databronnen weet jij de meest pertinente informatie voor je analyse naar boven te halen. Je verrijkt je analyse met informatie uit telefonie, van het internet, van andere politionele partners, enzovoort.
  • Het patroon dat niemand zag: je combineert informatie uit diverse bronnen en ontdekt verbanden in criminele netwerken. Samen met onze Data Scientists zet je data om in inzicht.
  • Het debat met jezelf: je toetst je conclusies tegen alternatieve verklaringen en beoordeelt de betrouwbaarheid van elke bron. Je product staat stevig voor het de deur uitgaat.
  • De aanbeveling op tafel: je brengt geen dik rapport, maar een helder advies: wat we weten, hoe zeker we zijn en wat we aanbevelen. Afhankelijk van de vraag kan dat in de vorm van een presentatie, een schema, een tekst, ...
  • Verder kijken dan het dossier: je herkent trends en nieuwe werkwijzen en helpt zo de prioriteiten van morgen bepalen.

Wat je meebrengt:

  • Diploma: master, bij voorkeur in criminologie, rechten, politieke of sociale wetenschappen, of een andere analytische richting
  • Ervaring in analyse, onderzoek of intelligence is een vereiste
  • Interesse in criminaliteitsfenomenen, georganiseerde misdaad en het gerechtelijke landschap
