Ben je graag buiten aan het werk en voel je je thuis op en rond het water? Als havenarbeider help je mee bij het vast- en losmaken van schepen in de haven van Gent. Je werkt met winchwagens en boten en draagt bij aan een veilige en vlotte scheepvaart. Zoek je een job met verantwoordelijkheid, afwisseling en doorgroeimogelijkheden? Dan is dit iets voor jou.

Wij bieden

  • Een startloon van €14,4739 per uur.
  • Een stand-by premie van €3,1111 per uur.
  • Nachtpremie voor nachtwerk.
  • Maaltijdcheques van €6,90 per gewerkte dag.
  • Kans op een vast contract na een positieve interimperiode.
  • Alle werkkledij wordt voorzien.
  • Mogelijkheid om extra opleidingen en attesten te behalen.
  • Een werkrooster van 5 werkdagen gevolgd door 3 vrije dagen.

Wij vragen

  • Je kan werken in een volcontinu systeem met dag- en nachtshiften.
  • Je kan minstens 100 meter zwemmen.
  • Je hebt minimaal 2 jaar een rijbewijs B en mag met een handgeschakelde wagen rijden.
  • Je spreekt vlot Nederlands en hebt een basiskennis Engels.
  • Je woont binnen 30 minuten van de haven van Gent.
  • Je werkt stipt en volgt veiligheidsregels nauwkeurig.
  • Je kan een bewijs van goed gedrag en zeden voorleggen. Omdat je in het havengebied werkt, word je daarnaast onderworpen aan een bijkomende veiligheidscontrole door de bevoegde instanties.

Het bedrijf

Sinds 1923 zorgt dit hecht familiebedrijf voor het vast- en losmaken van zeeschepen in het Kanaal Gent-Terneuzen. Met een team van zo’n 50 collega’s staan ze elke dag zij aan zij om het havenverkeer vlot en veilig te laten verlopen. Bij hen heerst een warme, familiale sfeer waar iedereen meetelt.
