Je komt terecht bij een Amerikaanse beursgenoteerde groep met duizenden medewerkers wereldwijd en een Europese hoofdzetel in de regio Dendermonde. De groep levert industriële producten en oplossingen en is recent fors gegroeid door overnames. Door de beursnotering en die groei is het een veeleisende maar bijzonder leerrijke omgeving met een sterke focus op compliance.

Je maakt deel uit van een finance-team van zes mensen: een levendige groep met veel energie, humor en een hoog werktempo. Binnen het team neem je het accounting- en compliancegedeelte van A tot Z op, in samenwerking met een shared service center in India en het hoofdkantoor in de VS.

Jouw verantwoordelijkheden

  • Je volgt de boekhouding op van meerdere entiteiten in België, Nederland, Frankrijk en het Midden-Oosten.
  • Je trekt zelfstandig de maand- en jaarafsluitingen, met een maandrapportering op twee werkdagen.
  • Je berekent accruals, stemt de loonrekeningen af en reviewt de balansen.
  • Je stuurt het shared service center in India aan en controleert het werk dat daar gebeurt.
  • Je volgt de directe en indirecte belastingen op, bereidt de vennootschapsbelasting voor en verzorgt de btw-aangiftes en betalingen.
  • Je bent het eerste aanspreekpunt bij externe en interne audits en bewaakt de SOX-compliance en interne controles.
  • Je denkt actief mee over het verbeteren en automatiseren van processen.

Wat breng je mee?

  • Je hebt een bachelor- of masterdiploma in finance of accountancy.
  • Je hebt minstens 5 jaar relevante ervaring, bijvoorbeeld als senior accountant, accounting officer of tax/accounting specialist, of als senior in audit.
  • Je kan afsluitingen en fiscaliteit (vennootschapsbelasting en btw) zelfstandig trekken.
  • Je bent vertrouwd met een audit- of compliance-omgeving; SOX-ervaring is een sterke troef.
  • Je werkt vlot in het Nederlands en Engels. Frans en andere Europese talen zijn een plus.
  • Je bent sterk in Excel, analytisch en nauwkeurig.
  • Je hebt een sterk karakter en gevoel voor humor, je bent proactief en stressbestendig
