Wil jij als verpleegkundige écht verschil maken voor ouderen die te maken hebben met complexe psychiatrische problematiek? Op de Open Ouderen Kliniek van de Nieuwe Valerius krijg je de ruimte om jouw expertise in te zetten binnen een gespecialiseerd multidisciplinair team.

Je werkt met ouderen van 65 jaar en ouder die zijn opgenomen vanwege acute psychiatrische problemen. Juist wanneer psychiatrische, somatische en sociaalmaatschappelijke problemen samenkomen, is jouw blik van grote waarde.

Je helpt de cliënten waar nodig met de dagelijkse zorg, bent aanspreekpunt voor familie maar hebt vooral met je observaties een belangrijke stem bij de behandeling en eventueel diagnostiek. Samen met de andere disciplines, client en familie bepalen we hoe we iemand het beste kunnen helpen.

Waar ga je werken?

  • De Open Ouderen Kliniek van de Nieuwe Valerius is een Top-GGZ opnameafdeling met 21 opnameplekken. Onze cliënten zijn 65 jaar en ouder en hebben acute psychiatrische problemen. Denk aan ernstige depressies, psychoses, uiteenlopende vormen van dementie, somatische symptoomstoornissen en katatonie. De problematiek is vaak complex. De afdeling is daarom ook gespecialiseerd in het uitvoeren van klinische second opinions, met speciale aandacht voor onder andere hardnekkige depressie, complexe neuropsychiatrie en complexe doodswensen.
  • Omdat we een open afdeling zijn, staat het behoud van autonomie centraal. Samen met cliënten en hun naasten zoeken we naar behandeldoelen die voor hen betekenisvol zijn. We werken toe naar een zo goed mogelijk functioneren en een zo hoog mogelijke kwaliteit van leven.
  • We bieden kortdurende biopsychosociale behandelingen en zetten samen met de cliënt de lijnen uit voor het ambulante vervolg. Daarbij is er veel aandacht voor de sociaalmaatschappelijke context. Naast medicatie, rTMS, ECT en esketamine in studieverband is er ruimte voor psychotherapie en groepsbehandelingen.
  • Je werkt in een breed multidisciplinair team met onder andere verpleegkundigen, groepsbegeleiders, psychiaters in opleiding, een verpleegkundig specialist in opleiding, een diëtist, fysiotherapeut, ergotherapeut, vaktherapeut, maatschappelijk werker, klinisch neuropsycholoog, psychologen en basispsychologen.

Wat ga je doen?

Als verpleegkundige op de afdeling ouderen open, ben jij een onmisbare schakel in ons team. Je werkt nauw samen met collega's en brengt structuur in de zorg van onze cliënten. Jouw dag bestaat uit observeren, signaleren en begeleiden, altijd met oog voor detail en hart voor de cliënt.

Bij GGZ inGeest streven we naar het herstellen van zelfredzaamheid, zodat cliënten zo zelfstandig mogelijk kunnen deelnemen aan de samenleving. Jij speelt hierin een sleutelrol door samen met het multidisciplinaire team begeleidingsplannen op te stellen, uit te voeren en bij te stellen waar nodig.

Crisissituaties? Jij hebt ze scherp in de gaten en biedt de juiste ondersteuning wanneer dat nodig is. Je coördineert de zorg in nauw overleg met de behandelaren, de cliënt en hun naasten. Ook biedt je hulp bij de dagelijkse verzorging en hygiëne, en geef je waardevolle begeleiding aan stagiaires en leerlingen binnen het team.

  • Je hebt een afgeronde opleiding mbo-4 verpleegkunde of hbo-verpleegkunde.
