WE ARE HIRING: Financial Analyst

Location: Sri Lanka

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Analyst to provide financial insights, analysis, reporting, and business support within the apparel industry.

The selected candidate will be responsible for financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, performance monitoring, and reporting to support strategic decision-making. This role requires strong analytical skills, advanced Excel knowledge, financial modeling capability, and the ability to work accurately in a remote environment aligned with USA working hours.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Modeling & Analysis

  • Develop and maintain financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, risks, and business performance gaps.
  • Prepare and present financial reports, insights, and analysis to management.
  • Provide recommendations to support better financial planning and decision-making.

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Assist in the development of annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
  • Monitor actual performance against budget and provide clear explanations for variances.
  • Collaborate with department managers to gather budget inputs and ensure accuracy.
  • Support continuous improvements in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.

Reporting & Performance Monitoring

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Develop, track, and analyze key performance indicators to monitor business performance.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial performance and operational efficiency.
  • Support management with accurate reports and data-driven business analysis.

Financial Reporting & Compliance

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and related schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and reporting requirements.
  • Support audits and other financial reviews by providing required documentation and explanations.
  • Maintain accuracy, consistency, and confidentiality in all financial records and reports.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in financial analysis or a related role.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and financial modeling.
  • Experience with Infor CloudSuite, dEPM, and Blue Cherry will be an added advantage.
  • Experience with SQL or other database querying languages.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and data interpretation.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Ability to work remotely and remain flexible with USA working hours.
