About the Role

Our client is seeking a commercially driven and well-connected Sales Manager – Furniture Fittings & Hardware to drive business growth across the Sri Lankan market. This role is responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing key customer accounts, strengthening market presence, and achieving revenue targets across the furniture fittings, architectural ironmongery, hardware, tools, adhesives, and building materials sectors.

The ideal candidate will possess strong industry relationships, proven business development experience, and the ability to engage with furniture manufacturers, joineries, contractors, architects, interior designers, developers, and other industry stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales and business development strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
  • Identify and develop new customers, projects, and business opportunities across Sri Lanka.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with furniture manufacturers, joineries, contractors, architects, interior designers, developers, and distributors.
  • Manage and grow existing key accounts while expanding market share.
  • Promote furniture fittings, architectural hardware, ironmongery, tools, adhesives, and related product portfolios.
  • Conduct regular customer visits, factory visits, site visits, and project meetings.
  • Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable product solutions.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, pricing movements, and customer demands.
  • Negotiate commercial terms and successfully close sales opportunities.
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline and forecast future business opportunities.
  • Work closely with management to identify strategic growth opportunities and new market segments.
  • Prepare regular sales reports, market intelligence updates, and business development plans.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in sales, business development, or key account management.
  • Experience within furniture fittings, hardware, architectural ironmongery, building materials, interior solutions, or related industries is essential.
  • Strong understanding of the Sri Lankan furniture, construction, joinery, and fit-out sectors.
  • Proven track record in new business development and key account management.
  • Existing industry relationships and customer networks will be a strong advantage.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen and customer-focused mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and achieve aggressive growth targets.
  • Strong territory management and pipeline development skills.
  • Valid driving licence and willingness to travel extensively across Sri Lanka.

Preferred Profile

  • Candidates currently working with established furniture fittings, hardware, architectural ironmongery, construction materials, or allied companies.
  • Experience dealing with furniture factories, joineries, contractors, architects, interior designers, and project consultants.
  • Strong market network and established customer relationships within relevant industries.
