About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and commercially driven Senior Executive – Airline Cargo Sales to support cargo revenue growth and market expansion initiatives. This role is responsible for developing strategic customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, maximizing cargo capacity utilization, and driving sales performance within a competitive aviation environment.

The ideal candidate will possess strong cargo sales expertise, industry knowledge, and relationship management skills, with the ability to achieve revenue targets while delivering exceptional service to customers and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive cargo sales and maximize available cargo capacity to achieve revenue and tonnage targets.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with freight forwarders, shippers, and key accounts.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the customer portfolio and destination mix.
  • Build and maintain a strong network within the air cargo and logistics industry.
  • Negotiate rates and commercial agreements to support revenue growth objectives.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and airline principals to ensure efficient cargo operations and service delivery.
  • Support workflow management and ensure timely execution of operational requirements.
  • Prepare and present regular sales, market, and performance reports.
  • Contribute to the achievement of departmental and organizational business objectives.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in airline cargo sales, airfreight sales, freight forwarding, or a similar commercial role.
  • Strong understanding of cargo sales, pricing, marketing, and operational procedures.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, networking, and relationship management skills.
  • Good command of written and spoken English.
  • Ability to manage priorities, delegate responsibilities, and work effectively under pressure.
  • Dynamic, results-oriented, and adaptable to changing commercial and operational requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience working with cargo management systems or CRM platforms will be an added advantage.
  • Diploma in Cargo Operations or a related qualification from a recognized institution will be an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
