The posting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a CP&D Senior Manager based in United States.

This senior leadership role manages a portfolio of schools, groups, districts, and/or school systems across the Eastern U.S. to strengthen partnerships and support high-quality programme implementation. You will build trusted relationships with senior education stakeholders and serve as a strategic point of contact throughout the partnership lifecycle. The role combines account management, programme development, retention, issue resolution, growth, and localized strategy. You will use data, partner insights, and local education context to shape effective engagement plans and improve service delivery. Working across teams and cultures, you will connect partners with relevant expertise, services, resources, and professional networks. The position offers significant influence over partnership outcomes while contributing local market intelligence to broader organizational decision-making.

Accountabilities

  • Develop and execute account management and partnership plans for a portfolio of schools, groups, districts, and/or school systems, aligning priorities with partner needs and organizational objectives.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with key stakeholders, including senior school and system leaders, and represent the organization in high-level engagements.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for partners, helping them navigate governance, organizational change, programme implementation, and evolving priorities.
  • Co-create partnership strategies with stakeholders that establish clear and sustainable value for both partners and the organization.
  • Provide proactive support throughout the programme lifecycle through individual and group engagements, connecting schools and systems with appropriate expertise, services, and resources.
  • Use partner data, feedback, and contextual insights to identify needs, improve support, and inform portfolio planning.
  • Coordinate with relevant service teams to ensure authorization and evaluation processes reflect the needs and expectations of individual schools and education systems.
  • Provide clear contextual information and priorities for authorization and evaluation visits, and use resulting outcomes and reports to shape ongoing support.
  • Identify retention, viability, and relationship risks early, agree mitigation actions with partners and internal stakeholders, and monitor progress toward resolution.
  • Lead issue resolution and service recovery activities, including responding to complaints and low-satisfaction feedback and ensuring appropriate follow-up.
  • Manage attrition cases consistently and use evidence and data to support sound decisions and retention strategies.
  • Identify and develop sustainable growth opportunities, including new programmes, expanded cohorts, and relevant services or offerings.
  • Build stakeholder understanding and advocacy while connecting partners with relevant professional learning, consultancy, and broader networks.
  • Adapt portfolio strategies to local education policy, market conditions, stakeholder expectations, and system-level priorities.
  • Maintain accurate account information in Salesforce or similar CRM systems and share relevant insights with leadership and internal teams.
  • Identify trends, opportunities, and risks within the portfolio and provide actionable recommendations to CP&D leadership.
  • Contribute to change initiatives, projects, portfolio planning, and cross-functional activities that improve partnership and service outcomes.
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
  • Bring experience in education leadership, school improvement, change management, or a closely related environment.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of different school contexts, including public, private, and/or international education systems.
  • Have experience managing partnerships, strategic accounts, or portfolios, including responsibility for retention, issue resolution, stakeholder engagement, and growth opportunities.
  • Demonstrate strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills, particularly when working with senior education leaders and decision-makers.
  • Possess strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data, identify trends, translate insights into actions, and make evidence-based recommendations.
  • Have strong project and portfolio planning capabilities; relevant professional accreditation is an advantage.
  • Communicate clearly and persuasively in both written and verbal formats, with the ability to present information, influence stakeholders, and facilitate discussions.
  • Be fluent in English; additional relevant local language skills are an advantage.
  • Demonstrate cultural awareness and comfort working across different educational contexts, cultures, functions, and stakeholder groups.
  • Be collaborative, adaptable, and capable of balancing strategic planning with hands-on relationship and portfolio management.
  • Have strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities, stakeholders, risks, and initiatives simultaneously.
  • Be proficient with Microsoft Office tools and preferably have experience using Salesforce or a similar CRM platform.
  • Salary range of $117,657–$150,000, with compensation determined by factors including local labor market conditions, education, experience, and relevant certifications.
  • Full-time, regular permanent employment.
  • Flexible work arrangements, with the role operating from the Washington, DC office and open to remote work.
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Voluntary benefits, including pet insurance and FSA options.
  • Annual leave plus 14 public holidays.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with a 10% contribution.
  • Paid parental leave.
  • Life assurance providing coverage of 4x annual salary.
  • Employee Assistance Program.
  • Continuous professional development opportunities.
  • Health and wellness programs.
  • Additional sponsored employee perks.
  • Opportunity to manage a strategic portfolio of education partnerships and engage with senior stakeholders across diverse school systems.
  • Exposure to international education, school improvement, partnership development, and large-scale programme implementation.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
