The posting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Product Manager, Billing & Collections based in Canada.

As a Product Manager, Billing & Collections, you will shape the strategy and roadmap for critical billing, subscription, payment, and collections products within a global fitness technology environment. You will help transform complex financial workflows into reliable, intuitive experiences that support business operators and their customers. Working at the intersection of product strategy, payments technology, and customer experience, you will identify opportunities to improve payment success rates, reduce involuntary churn, and strengthen revenue recovery. You will collaborate with engineering, design, data science, finance, legal, and customer-facing teams to deliver impactful product solutions. By leveraging customer insights, analytics, experimentation, and emerging AI capabilities, you will drive innovation and operational efficiency. This remote-first opportunity is ideal for a strategic product leader who thrives on solving complex challenges and delivering measurable business outcomes at scale.

Accountabilities:

  • Product strategy and roadmap ownership: Define and execute the long-term product vision, strategy, and multi-quarter roadmap for billing and collections, balancing customer value, revenue opportunities, financial risk, and engineering complexity.
  • Customer and market insights: Develop a deep understanding of customer needs, industry trends, competitive offerings, and business challenges through customer feedback, market research, and product analytics.
  • Billing and payment optimization: Drive improvements across subscription management, recurring payments, invoicing, payment processing, collections, payment recovery, customer notifications, and automated workflows.
  • Cross-functional product leadership: Collaborate with engineering, design, data science, finance, legal, compliance, customer success, and go-to-market teams to define requirements, prioritize initiatives, and deliver reliable product experiences.
  • Data-driven decision-making: Establish and monitor key product performance indicators, using analytics, experimentation, and customer feedback to guide prioritization and evaluate product effectiveness.
  • Payment recovery and churn reduction: Identify opportunities to improve payment success rates, reduce involuntary customer churn, optimize collections processes, and increase recovered revenue.
  • Innovation and automation: Explore and implement automation and AI-powered capabilities where they can meaningfully improve payment outcomes, operational efficiency, risk management, and customer experiences.
  • Product delivery and execution: Translate complex business and customer challenges into clear product requirements, communicate priorities effectively, and maintain momentum across product development and launch activities.
  • Stakeholder alignment: Build consensus among technical and non-technical stakeholders, communicate product decisions and trade-offs, and ensure alignment between product investments and organizational objectives.
  • Performance measurement and continuous improvement: Evaluate product adoption, customer feedback, revenue impact, cost efficiency, and risk reduction to ensure roadmap investments deliver measurable results.
  • Bring at least 10 years of product management experience, with a proven track record of owning complex products from strategic planning through development, launch, and ongoing optimization.
  • Have professional experience in payments, billing, financial technology, SaaS subscriptions, commerce, or a closely related product domain.
  • Demonstrate strong customer empathy and the ability to translate customer needs, market opportunities, and business challenges into clear product strategies and measurable outcomes.
  • Possess excellent analytical and business judgment skills, with experience using product metrics, experimentation, and data insights to guide prioritization and evaluate performance.
  • Have demonstrated success developing product visions, managing multi-quarter roadmaps, prioritizing competing initiatives, and balancing customer value, revenue, risk, and technical constraints.
  • Be an effective cross-functional leader who can align engineering, design, data, finance, legal, compliance, and customer-facing stakeholders around shared objectives.
  • Demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts, articulate trade-offs, and influence executives, technical teams, and business stakeholders.
  • Be comfortable navigating ambiguity, solving complex problems, making informed decisions, and maintaining execution momentum in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience with subscription billing, payment recovery, dunning management, payment routing, fraud and risk management, or API-based platforms is highly valued.
  • Familiarity with data-driven product development, AI-powered capabilities, automation, and intelligent payment workflows is an advantage.
  • Demonstrate a results-oriented mindset, with the ability to connect product investments to measurable improvements in revenue, payment performance, customer retention, operational efficiency, and risk reduction.
  • Be comfortable working in a remote-first, collaborative environment and leading initiatives across distributed, multidisciplinary teams.
  • Competitive compensation: Annual base salary ranging from CAD $142,000 to CAD $181,400 for Canada-based candidates, depending on experience, qualifications, skills, and geographic considerations.
  • Additional compensation opportunities: Eligible employees may receive bonuses, equity, or other incentive-based compensation, where applicable.
  • Flexible paid time off: An open PTO policy provides flexibility to manage time away from work.
  • Company-wide days off: Quarterly Days of Disconnect give employees dedicated time to recharge together.
  • Family-friendly leave: Parental leave and Pawternity Leave to support employees as their families grow.
  • Comprehensive healthcare: Medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Employee assistance program: Access to support and resources for personal well-being.
  • Mental wellness benefits: Premium Calm app subscription for employees and up to four eligible dependents aged 16 and older.
  • Fitness and wellness reimbursement: A quarterly allowance to support employees in their personal fitness and wellness journeys.
  • Learning and development: Ongoing opportunities to strengthen product leadership skills, expand technical expertise, and pursue professional growth.
  • Remote-first flexibility: Work remotely while collaborating with global teams in an inclusive, supportive environment.
  • Meaningful product impact: Shape billing and collections experiences that influence revenue, customer retention, payment reliability, and business performance.
  • Inclusive culture: Join a collaborative workplace that values diverse perspectives, continuous learning, innovation, and individual contributions.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
