Accountabilities

  • Develop and support existing code and data solutions using SQL Server, SSIS, and Python.
  • Design, implement, and optimize high-quality database solutions, including stored procedures, functions, views, triggers, and other SQL Server objects.
  • Develop and maintain T-SQL procedures and scripts, with a strong focus on performance, reliability, and data integrity.
  • Analyze existing SQL queries and recommend improvements to optimize database performance.
  • Develop data migration procedures and scripts while ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Work with operational databases and data warehouse environments, including dimensional data models.
  • Interpret business reporting requirements, research relevant data, and develop useful reporting deliverables.
  • Provide scheduled management reporting and investigate exceptions related to data and asset movements.
  • Develop, troubleshoot, and maintain SSIS packages and provide support for SQL Server Reporting Services.
  • Identify database defects, investigate root causes, and recommend technical solutions and performance improvements.
  • Support QA activities and code deployment across different database environments.
  • Manage code versions and contribute to controlled database deployment processes.
  • Respond to technical issues in a timely manner, clearly communicating problems, impacts, and proposed solutions.
  • Collaborate with application teams and other stakeholders to understand requirements and resolve data-related concerns.
  • Apply AI-assisted development tools where appropriate to improve productivity and support SQL and scripting activities.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in SQL Server development, database engineering, or a closely related role.
  • Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, particularly versions 2017, 2019, or 2022.
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL and T-SQL, including stored procedures, functions, views, triggers, and query optimization.
  • Practical experience with SSIS and familiarity with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
  • Experience developing with Python and applying it to data or automation tasks.
  • Knowledge of database development, data management principles, and dimensional data modeling.
  • Experience working with both operational systems and data warehouse environments.
  • Familiarity with code version management and database deployment practices.
  • Knowledge of AWS and/or Azure environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, particularly for database availability, performance, and data integrity issues.
  • Ability to understand business reporting requirements and translate them into effective technical data solutions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with application and data teams.
  • Self-starter mindset, organization, adaptability, and willingness to take ownership of technical challenges.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote environment with flexibility regarding work priorities and schedules.
  • Experience with AI code-generation tools for SQL or PowerShell is a plus.
  • Additional experience with Oracle databases, PL/SQL, Informatica, workload automation, ServiceNow, or change management processes is desirable.
  • 100% remote work from Brazil.
  • PJ (contractor) engagement model.
  • Opportunity to work on data solutions within a global financial and insurance environment.
  • Exposure to SQL Server, Python, SSIS, cloud technologies, and AI-assisted development tools.
  • Opportunity to collaborate with international and cross-functional technology teams.
  • Technical challenges involving database development, optimization, reporting, migration, and data management.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
