This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an SAP RTR & Group Reporting Consultant (SAP RISE) based in the United States.

The SAP RTR & Group Reporting Consultant will play a key role in supporting financial transformation initiatives through the configuration, integration, and optimization of SAP Group Reporting and SAP S/4HANA Finance solutions. This fully remote, six-month contract offers an opportunity to contribute specialized SAP expertise to complex financial consolidation and Record-to-Report (RTR) processes in a cloud-based environment. You will help streamline financial close activities, improve reporting accuracy, and ensure reliable consolidation across entities, currencies, and intercompany transactions. Working closely with finance teams, technical specialists, and business stakeholders, you will translate business requirements into effective system configurations and deliver solutions aligned with financial accounting standards. You will also support SAP RISE cloud operations, testing activities, analytics capabilities, and potential migrations from SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC) to Group Reporting. This role is ideal for an experienced SAP finance consultant who combines strong technical knowledge with financial process expertise and a collaborative, results-oriented approach.

Accountabilities

  • Configure, implement, and support SAP Group Reporting, including consolidation processes, task design, and related financial reporting functionality.
  • Manage financial consolidation activities, including currency translation, intercompany eliminations, and the preparation of consolidated financial information.
  • Integrate SAP Group Reporting with SAP S/4HANA Finance and support Record-to-Report (RTR) and Financial Accounting processes.
  • Gather and analyze business requirements, translate them into functional and technical solutions, and coordinate implementation activities with relevant stakeholders.
  • Support financial close and consolidation workflows, ensuring system configurations align with business needs and applicable accounting standards.
  • Coordinate functional testing, integration testing, issue resolution, and validation to ensure solutions perform as expected.
  • Support SAP Fiori applications, financial reporting, analytics, and user-facing functionality.
  • Contribute to SAP RISE cloud operating models, including solutions deployed in public or private cloud environments.
  • Participate in finance transformation initiatives, including migrations from SAP BPC to SAP Group Reporting and associated process improvements.
  • Collaborate with finance, accounting, IT, and business teams to manage stakeholder expectations, resolve issues, and deliver project milestones.
  • Identify opportunities to improve consolidation processes, financial reporting accuracy, system integration, and overall finance operations.
  • Support related SAP finance capabilities and integrations as required by project scope.
  • Hands-on experience configuring and supporting SAP Group Reporting and SAP S/4HANA Finance.
  • Strong understanding of Record-to-Report (RTR), Financial Accounting, financial consolidation, and related accounting processes.
  • Experience managing consolidation requirements, currency translation, intercompany eliminations, and financial close activities.
  • Familiarity with financial accounting principles and applicable accounting standards.
  • Experience working with SAP RISE and cloud environments, including public or private cloud deployment models.
  • Demonstrated experience contributing to end-to-end finance transformation projects and SAP implementation initiatives.
  • Ability to gather and document business requirements, analyze functional needs, develop solutions, and coordinate testing and implementation.
  • Experience integrating SAP finance solutions and collaborating with technical teams to troubleshoot system and process issues.
  • Familiarity with SAP Fiori applications, reporting tools, analytics, and financial data management.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with finance professionals, technical teams, and business leaders.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with diverse teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and collaboration skills.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. Equivalent relevant SAP finance experience may be considered.
  • Preferred: Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), SAP BPC migrations, Financial Closing Cockpit, or Advanced Financial Closing (AFC).
  • Preferred: Knowledge of SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), Integration Suite, ABAP, Core Data Services (CDS), Central Finance, and Intercompany Reconciliation (ICR).
  • Preferred: Familiarity with SAP Cash Management, Treasury, Tax, and S/4HANA data migration tools.
  • Location: Candidates must be based in the United States for this remote contract opportunity.
  • Hourly compensation ranging from $90 to $115 per hour, depending on relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and applicable certifications or licenses.
  • Fully remote work arrangement.
  • Initial contract duration of 6 months.
