The posting

At Nimber, we're looking for an experienced Murex FX Functional Support Analyst to join a challenging project within the investment banking sector, supporting critical Foreign Exchange (FX) trading operations.

You'll work within a Business Support & Monitoring team, ensuring the stability, performance and continuous improvement of Murex, a key platform supporting FX operations across global financial markets.

This role offers the opportunity to combine financial markets expertise, technical troubleshooting and application support, working closely with Front Office, Middle Office and Back Office teams in an international environment.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Provide L1/L2 functional and technical support to Front Office, Middle Office and Back Office users.
  • Monitor Murex FX applications, ensuring operational stability and minimal disruption to trading activities.
  • Manage incidents and service requests from identification through to resolution, following ITIL best practices.
  • Investigate application issues using SQL queries in Oracle databases.
  • Escalate complex incidents to L3 support, development teams or external vendors, ensuring effective follow-up.
  • Manage and prioritise maintenance backlogs, including recurring issues and enhancement requests.
  • Participate in software releases, deployment activities and post-release validation.
  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to identify improvements and optimise support processes.
  • Maintain technical and functional documentation, contributing to the team's knowledge base.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in functional or application support within financial markets or investment banking.
  • Strong understanding of Foreign Exchange (FX) products and Front-to-Back trading workflows.
  • Knowledge of Murex, ideally within FX trading environments.
  • Solid SQL skills, particularly with Oracle databases.
  • Experience providing L1/L2 application support in business-critical environments.
  • Good understanding of ITIL processes, including incident, request and problem management.
  • Ability to investigate complex issues, coordinate escalations and follow incidents through to resolution.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken.

Nice to Have

  • Hands-on experience supporting Murex FX modules.
  • Previous exposure to Front Office, Middle Office and Back Office operations.
  • Experience with application monitoring, release management and production environments.
  • Familiarity with financial markets support processes in international banking environments.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
