The posting

At Nimber, we're looking for an experienced Informatica Data Engineer to join a challenging project within the Data & Analytics area, focused on developing, optimising and modernising enterprise data integration solutions.

You'll work with Informatica PowerCenter, with a particular focus on Data Masking, ETL performance and data quality, helping to ensure reliable, scalable and secure data integration processes.

You'll also have the opportunity to contribute to modernisation initiatives involving Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC).

What You'll Be Doing

  • Design, develop and maintain data integration workflows using Informatica PowerCenter.
  • Implement and enhance Data Masking solutions, using PowerCenter or Informatica TDM, to protect sensitive information.
  • Troubleshoot complex ETL workflows, mappings, sessions and integration processes.
  • Identify performance bottlenecks and optimise workflows handling large volumes of data.
  • Contribute to Data Quality initiatives, including validation rules, monitoring and remediation processes.
  • Investigate production incidents, perform root-cause analysis and implement improvements.
  • Support deployments across development, testing and production environments.
  • Promote technical best practices, reusable components and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain technical documentation and collaborate with Data Engineers, Architects and business stakeholders.
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing and the evolution of the team's Informatica expertise.

What We're Looking For

  • At least 6 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Integration or ETL development.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter.
  • Proven experience with Data Masking, including dynamic or persistent masking approaches.
  • Solid knowledge of Informatica mappings, workflows, sessions, transformations and parameterisation.
  • Experience with error handling, workflow monitoring, debugging and recovery mechanisms.
  • Strong SQL skills and knowledge of relational databases.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and optimise ETL processes handling large datasets.
  • Good understanding of ETL/ELT architectures, data integration and data lifecycle principles.
  • Experience with version control, deployment processes and technical documentation.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Good command of English.

Nice to Have

  • Hands-on experience with Informatica IDMC, particularly Cloud Data Integration (CDI).
  • Experience with PowerCenter-to-IDMC migration projects, including compatibility assessments and remediation.
  • Knowledge of Informatica Data Quality and data governance solutions.
  • Familiarity with metadata management and data cataloguing.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms and modern data architectures.
  • Scripting skills in Python or Shell.
  • Experience working in Agile environments.
