Located in the vibrant Docklands precinct, Vibe Hotel Melbourne Docklands offers modern accommodation, contemporary facilities and easy access to Melbourne's business, entertainment and sporting destinations. With a strong focus on guest comfort and exceptional service, we're looking for a skilled and reliable Maintenance Handyperson to help ensure our hotel remains safe, functional and welcoming for every guest.   If you enjoy hands-on work, take pride in high standards and love solving problems, we'd love to hear from you.   About the Role As a Maintenance Handyperson, you'll play a vital role in the day-to-day upkeep of the hotel. Working across guest rooms, public areas and hotel facilities, you'll help maintain the presentation, safety and functionality of the property while ensuring minimal disruption to guests. This role suits someone who is practical, proactive and enjoys working across a variety of maintenance tasks. Key Responsibilities

Perform general maintenance, repairs and preventative maintenance throughout the hotel Respond to maintenance requests from guests and team members in a timely manner Conduct routine inspections of guest rooms, public areas and hotel facilities Complete basic plumbing, painting, carpentry and repair work as required Troubleshoot equipment and maintenance issues and coordinate specialist contractors where necessary Maintain records of maintenance activities and completed works Support compliance with workplace health and safety requirements Ensure the hotel's presentation and facilities consistently meet brand standards Assist with emergency and after-hours maintenance matters when required

About You You'll bring:

Previous experience in a maintenance, facilities, handyman or building services role Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills Knowledge of general building maintenance practices The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities A proactive and reliable approach to work Excellent communication and customer service skills Commitment to workplace health and safety

Desirable

Trade qualification or relevant maintenance certification Previous hotel, accommodation, commercial property or facilities experience Understanding of preventative maintenance programs
