About BeeX
BeeX is building the world's most advanced Hovering Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (HAUVs).
BeeX specialises in providing autonomous robotics solutions to safeguard underwater infrastructure in the maritime, energy and defense sectors, reducing over 90% of carbon emissions. We are pioneering Autonomous Robotics-as-a-Service (ARaaS) on a global scale, supported by decades of operational experiences in harsh waters. With unprecedented efficiency, we strive to provide our customers with a one-point solution for asset integrity management -- protecting assets they value, making sure they stay safe.
Why Join Now The industries we serve need new ways to overcome their current challenges, and BeeX sees the opportunity in delivering exactly that, right now. Creating anything new is very hard, and we need outstanding people.
At BeeX, everyone is dependent; united by enthusiasm for bold innovation. Our multi-disciplinary team thrives in dynamic environments, driving transformative advancements globally. Join us to make a meaningful impact on the world!
You will enjoy this job if you:
- Enjoy achieving deadlines and are always thinking of how to make something better
- Want to work in fast-paced start-up environment, prioritizing growth over short-term gains
- Like to work independently, as well as collaboratively with team members in other sub-teams
- Have a positive learning mindset, and can quickly absorb knowledge to overcome challenges
- Can assess risk and make time-critical decisions/tradeoffs in imperfect scenarios
Your Role
As Production Planner, you will make sure the right HAUVs are built at the right time with the right parts, people, and test slots in place. Our vehicles combine many long-lead and specialised components, including subsea connectors, pressure hulls, thrusters, PCB stacks, batteries, machined fittings, and 3D-printed parts. These all have to come together through assembly, QC, and testing before a vehicle can deploy on a client inspection job. You will turn build targets and deployment schedules into a realistic, trackable production plan across our Singapore and Johor Bahru sites.
Your Job Scope
HAUV production planning and scheduling
- Build and maintain the master production schedule for HAUV builds, subassemblies, spares, and refurbishment work.
- Break vehicle builds into work orders and sequence them across harnessing, mechanical assembly, electronics integration, QC, and testing.
- Balance workload across technicians, workstations, and test facilities, and flag capacity constraints early.
- Align production timelines with ARaaS deployment schedules and client commitments.
Material planning and inventory
- Run material requirements planning based on HAUV bills of materials (BOMs) and build schedules.
- Track long-lead and critical items such as subsea connectors, PCBs, machined parts, seals, batteries, and thrusters, and raise purchase requests on time.
- Monitor stock levels of consumables and common parts, including crimps, fasteners, O-rings, cables, and filament and resin for 3D printing.
- Coordinate kitting so each build starts with a complete, verified parts set.
Coordination and tracking
- Work closely with manufacturing, procurement, QA/QC, test, and operations teams to keep builds on track.
- Track build progress, material shortages, and bottlenecks, and escalate risks to delivery dates.
- Coordinate material and work transfers between the Singapore and Johor Bahru sites.
- Manage engineering changes and BOM revisions so that the right version is built.
Systems and reporting
- Maintain accurate production, BOM, and inventory data in our ERP and project tools (e.g. Odoo, ClickUp).
- Report on schedule adherence, build lead times, material availability, and inventory health.
- Improve planning processes as we move from low-volume, high-mix builds toward more repeatable production.
Requirements
- Degree or diploma in Supply Chain, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
- 2 - 5 years of experience in production planning, material planning, or operations in manufacturing, preferably electromechanical, robotics, marine, aerospace, or defence.
- Working knowledge of MRP, BOM structures, and inventory management.
- Hands-on experience with an ERP system (Odoo is a plus).
- Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills for planning and tracking.
- Organised, proactive, and comfortable managing changing priorities in a startup environment.
- Clear communicator, able to work with engineers, technicians, and suppliers.
Good to Have
- Experience planning low-volume, high-mix production or complex engineered products.
- Familiarity with long-lead electronic and precision-machined components.
- Exposure to lean manufacturing or production scheduling tools.
- Experience coordinating operations between Singapore and Malaysia.
- APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM or CSCP) or similar.
Remuneration Package
- Market competitive salary
- Growth opportunities that align with your direct ability in helping the company, rather than an arbitrary corporate ladder
- Healthcare support
- Special access to industry events
- Well-stocked pantry with nice snacks
- Support for skills upgrading / learning credits
