Wil je niet alleen adviseren vanuit kantoor, maar ook zelf betrokken blijven bij onderzoek en de praktijk buiten? Dan biedt Dordrecht je een unieke werkplek. Dordrecht behoort tot de meest archeologisch interessante gemeenten van Nederland. Met een ruim 1.000 jaar oude binnenstad, het verdronken landschap van de Sint-Elisabethsvloed en het bijzondere cultuurhistorische landschap van de Biesbosch speelt het verleden hier een rol bij vrijwel iedere ruimtelijke ontwikkeling. Als adviseur erfgoed en senior KNA-archeoloog/prospector werk je aan de toekomst van de gemeente én aan het behoud van haar verleden. Je combineert strategisch beleid, inhoudelijke advisering en samenwerking met de uitvoering van kleinschalig archeologisch onderzoek. Juist die combinatie maakt deze functie bijzonder. Waar kom je te werken? Dordrecht is de stad van rivieren en killen, havens en pakhuizen, kloosters en kerken, patriciërshuizen en buitenplaatsen. Met bijna 900 rijksmonumenten, meer dan 1.000 gemeentelijke monumenten en twee beschermde stadsgezichten zijn stad en eiland rijk aan historie en karakter. Het samenspel tussen water, landschap en bebouwing maakt Dordrecht uniek. Naast het bekende gebouwde erfgoed groeit ook de aandacht voor het bijzondere cultuurlandschap van het eiland.
