BKV begeleidt je van de eerste stap tot een onvergetelijk buitenlands avontuur. Jouw nieuwe baan Via het Horacio Oduber Hospital (HOH) werk je als specialist ouderengeneeskunde binnen 3 verpleeghuizen op Aruba. Je behandelt een diverse patiëntengroep en werkt in een internationale omgeving waar Nederlands, Papiaments, Engels en Spaans dagelijks samenkomen. Je komt terecht in een hecht team waar samenwerking, kennisdeling en persoonlijke aandacht centraal staan. Als regiebehandelaar krijg je veel ruimte om jouw vak in de volle breedte uit te oefenen, onder meer binnen de verpleeghuiszorg, de geheugenpoli en de eerstelijnszorg. Een specialist ouderengeneeskunde die hier werkt, vertelt: "Het is een prachtige werkplek en dan heb ik het niet alleen over het klimaat maar ook over het werken op Aruba. Je kunt je vak in de volle breedte uitvoeren als regiebehandelaar, binnen een Caraïbische context. Het vraagt inlevingsvermogen in de cultuur én in de manier van leven en werken hier. Als dit je aantrekt, dan ga je het hier fantastisch vinden." Jouw nieuwe werkplek Stichting Algemene Bejaardenzorg Aruba (SABA) werd opgericht in 1972 en is een door de overheid gesubsidieerd verpleegtehuis dat werkt volgens de principes van uitkomstgerichte financiering. De stichting beheert drie locaties verspreid over Aruba: San Pedro di Verona in Oranjestad, Huize Maris Stella in Savaneta en Centro di Cuido in San Nicolas. De cliënten van SABA vallen onder twee hoofdgroepen: somatische en psychogeriatrische zorgbehoeften.
