De organisatie is al decennia lang marktleider, telt zo'n 130 medewerkers en ontwikkelt een omvangrijk softwareplatform dat dagelijks door duizenden zorgpraktijken in heel Nederland wordt gebruikt. Er bestaat een grote kans dat je hun software zelf wel eens hebt gezien of ermee in aanraking bent gekomen. Door de jaren heen is hierin veel bedrijfslogica opgebouwd, inclusief verschillende koppelingen met externe systemen. Daarom blijft de bestaande software belangrijk, maar wordt de komende jaren stap voor stap gemoderniseerd richting onder andere C# en .NET. Stabiliteit, kwaliteit en technische kennis wegen hier zwaarder dan het telkens overstappen op de nieuwste technologie. De functie: Je gaat aan de slag met C++ en MFC binnen een omvangrijke Windows desktopapplicatie. Je houdt je bezig met onderhoud, performance, technische verbeteringen en koppelingen met externe systemen. Daarnaast denk je mee over de architectuur en de toekomstbestendigheid van de software. De komende 3 tot 4 jaar wordt de applicatie stap voor stap gemoderniseerd richting C# en .NET. C++ blijft voorlopig echter de belangrijkste voertaal binnen je werk. Je werkt samen met 6 andere engineers binnen het ontwikkelteam en krijgt veel ruimte om zelfstandig technische keuzes te maken en verbeteringen door te voeren.
