About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Product Manager – Deposits to drive the growth, innovation, and performance of the Bank's deposit portfolio.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing deposit products throughout their lifecycle, identifying market opportunities, developing customer-centric solutions, and leveraging data-driven insights to enhance customer acquisition, engagement, and retention. This role requires a strong understanding of retail banking, product management, digital transformation, and customer analytics.

Key Responsibilities

Deposit Portfolio Management

  • Manage and grow the Bank's deposit product portfolio.
  • Enhance the value, profitability, and volume of deposit products through strategic initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve existing products and address gaps within the product portfolio.
  • Monitor product performance and recommend changes to maximize growth and customer satisfaction.

Product Development & Innovation

  • Design and launch new deposit products, features, and value-added services.
  • Conduct market research and customer analysis to identify emerging needs and opportunities.
  • Ensure products remain competitive and aligned with market requirements.
  • Develop customer-centric solutions that improve the overall banking experience.

AI, Analytics & Digital Transformation

  • Drive AI-enabled and data-driven product innovation initiatives.
  • Utilize customer insights, predictive analytics, and digital capabilities to support business growth.
  • Leverage analytics to improve customer engagement, retention, and product performance.
  • Support the development of personalized banking propositions and customer experiences.

Stakeholder Management & Collaboration

  • Work closely with Retail Banking, Marketing, Digital Banking, IT, Risk, Operations, Compliance, and Analytics teams.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to ensure successful product delivery and implementation.
  • Coordinate product launches, campaigns, and enhancement projects.
  • Present business cases, product strategies, and performance updates to senior management.

Strategy & Performance Management

  • Monitor portfolio performance and analyze key financial and operational metrics.
  • Develop and implement product strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Track market trends, customer behavior, competitor activities, and regulatory developments.
  • Identify sustainable growth opportunities and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Marketing, Finance, Banking, or a related discipline.
  • Professional qualification in Marketing with membership in a recognized professional body such as CIM or SLIM will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Banking or Financial Services.
  • Proven experience in: Retail Banking Product Management Deposit Portfolio Management Business Growth Initiatives
  • Strong understanding of: AI and Digital Banking Customer Analytics Data-Driven Product Management Customer Experience Management
  • Ability to translate customer insights into innovative and commercially viable solutions.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and strategic initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Experience working within agile and digital transformation environments will be an advantage.
