Note

Candidates must have 1+ years of civil litigation experience and an Illinois Bar license. Prior intellectual property litigation experience is a plus but is not required. We welcome talented litigators interested in developing their expertise in intellectual property law.

Job Description

As an IP Litigation Associate Attorney, you will work alongside experienced litigators on sophisticated intellectual property disputes and complex litigation matters.

  • Support patent, trademark, trade secret, and other intellectual property litigation matters.
  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and legal memoranda.
  • Manage written discovery, document review, and discovery responses.
  • Assist with depositions, witness preparation, expert discovery, and trial preparation.
  • Analyze complex legal and technical issues to help develop effective litigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and clients while progressively taking ownership of case responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Active Illinois Bar license.
  • 1+ years of civil litigation experience.
  • Experience with legal research, drafting, discovery, and litigation support.
  • Strong analytical, writing, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Interest in intellectual property litigation and complex legal disputes.
  • Patent litigation experience or a technical/STEM background is preferred but not required.
