Note

Candidates must have an active Florida Bar license, 2+ years of civil litigation defense experience, and experience defending complex civil litigation matters in federal court.

Job Description

  • Manage and defend complex civil litigation cases in state and federal courts.
  • Develop and execute effective litigation strategies for healthcare professionals and organizations.
  • Handle discovery, depositions, motion practice, legal research, and case preparation.
  • Independently manage an active caseload while collaborating with experienced litigation attorneys.
  • Represent clients in high-stakes disputes and help deliver successful outcomes.
  • Build strong client relationships and contribute to the continued growth of our litigation practice.

Qualifications

  • Active Florida Bar license in good standing.
  • 2+ years of civil litigation defense experience; 5+ years strongly preferred.
  • Experience defending complex civil litigation matters in federal court.
  • Ability to independently manage cases and develop effective defense strategies.
  • Strong legal writing, research, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with medical malpractice defense, healthcare litigation, or federal civil rights defense under 42 U.S.C. § 1983 is a significant plus.
  • Comfortable working in a billable-hours environment.
