Location

New York, NY (Manhattan) — Full-Time, On-Site. Join our collaborative Manhattan office and enjoy the opportunity to work closely with attorneys, case managers, and leadership in a dynamic legal environment.

Note:

Candidates must be admitted to the New York State Bar, have 5+ years of New York plaintiff-side personal injury experience, and have prior experience supervising paralegals, case managers, or attorneys within a personal injury law firm.

Job Description

  • Lead our pre-litigation department, supervising and mentoring a team of case managers and paralegals.
  • Oversee personal injury claims from initial intake through settlement or transfer to litigation.
  • Evaluate liability, damages, insurance coverage, and settlement opportunities in motor vehicle and premises liability cases.
  • Negotiate bodily injury settlements directly with insurance carriers and adjusters.
  • Oversee New York No-Fault claims, medical documentation, settlement demands, and lien resolution.
  • Monitor case deadlines, workflow efficiency, settlement performance, and department productivity.
  • Train and develop team members while improving case management processes and overall results.
  • Collaborate with litigation attorneys and firm leadership to ensure seamless case transitions and exceptional client service.

Qualifications

  • Active New York State Bar admission in good standing.
  • 5+ years of New York plaintiff-side personal injury experience.
  • Previous experience supervising paralegals, case managers, or attorneys in a personal injury law firm.
  • Strong knowledge of New York No-Fault insurance, bodily injury claims, and personal injury settlement negotiations.
  • Ability to manage a high-volume caseload while overseeing team performance and deadlines.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Experience managing a pre-litigation department or using Litify is a plus.
