About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Procurement Manager to lead strategic sourcing, supplier management, contract manufacturing partnerships, and procurement operations across the business.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving procurement excellence, optimizing costs, strengthening supplier relationships, ensuring uninterrupted supply of raw materials and packaging materials, and managing external manufacturing partnerships to support business growth and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing & Procurement

  • Lead end-to-end procurement activities for direct and indirect materials, contract manufacturing, engineering services, and capital projects.
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies that deliver cost savings, supply continuity, quality improvements, and sustainability objectives.
  • Drive category management initiatives and strategic sourcing projects across multiple spend categories.
  • Identify opportunities for value engineering, cost optimization, and supplier innovation.

Supplier & Contract Manufacturing Management

  • Manage supplier selection, qualification, onboarding, and performance management processes.
  • Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships that support long-term business objectives.
  • Oversee external manufacturing and contract manufacturing partnerships to ensure quality, service, and commercial expectations are achieved.
  • Evaluate supplier capabilities, manufacturing capacity, technical competencies, and operational performance.
  • Drive supplier development and continuous improvement programmes.

Commercial & Contract Management

  • Lead commercial negotiations and contract discussions with suppliers and manufacturing partners.
  • Develop and manage contractual agreements, commercial terms, pricing structures, and service level expectations.
  • Ensure effective risk management and contract compliance.
  • Deliver measurable procurement savings and commercial improvements.

Stakeholder & Project Management

  • Partner closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, R&D, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, and Commercial teams.
  • Support new product launches and sourcing initiatives through effective supplier engagement.
  • Lead procurement-related projects and strategic business initiatives.
  • Ensure procurement activities align with operational and business priorities.

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, safety policies, and ethical sourcing practices.
  • Monitor supplier compliance with company standards and contractual obligations.
  • Support sustainability and responsible sourcing initiatives.
  • Maintain procurement governance and reporting standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Engineering, Business Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of procurement experience within the FMCG industry.
  • Strong experience in: Strategic Sourcing Supplier Relationship Management Commercial Negotiations Contract Management Cost Optimization
  • Previous experience managing external manufacturing / contract manufacturing operations is mandatory.
  • Strong exposure to raw material procurement and packaging procurement.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Engineering, R&D, and Quality.
  • Strong stakeholder management and project management capabilities.
  • Proven ability to lead supplier performance improvement programmes.
  • Excellent analytical, commercial, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement best practices and supply chain processes.
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive strategic initiatives.
